How Steve Brown Built a 40+ Client Dental SEO Agency

One question I get a lot is whether someone should start a “niche specific” agency or just a general one.

I always recommend niche specific.

In this episode, you’ll see why. I’m interviewing my friend Steve Brown who runs a dental SEO agency with over 40 clients.

He’ll be sharing why he targets only dentists, why that works for him, and why you should do the same. And of course how he built his agency.

    Hey Daryl and Steve,

Silent follower, but had to comment today. Great episode… excellent value as always. I always love your podcasts because there’s always something to learn from them. I really do think that IF most people follow and apply just the free trainings/guides/interviews you have on here, it would help them get started in client SEO. Thanks once again for a fantastic episode

Thanks for commenting Oscar. You’re 100% right, just in the free information alone on the blog, someone can put that to work and get results.

Seemed like a really nice guy, and some great tips from a normal bloke done good, not some rockstar.

Wish I could see his proposal!

Also amazing, he uses nearly the exact same set of tools as me for everything!

Fantastic ep – to answer steves question re managing 200+ clients. The only way we go there was by taking over the hosting, it cuts a huge amount of work out of managing clients, problems, downtime, hacks etc. Approx half the clients we take on have hosting related issues hurting their rank

We now include hosting in all our packages at no cost because it saves so much time

That said we’ve hit a limit and opening a physical office and in person team kicking off next, just too much friction with remote team and this many clients

Btw Darryl, there’s no podcast links in your podcast feed notes that appear in the podcast app, makes it annoying to find the ep…also easy backlinks 🙂

      Great tip, thanks!

Fanastic show! I am a new viewer but I will be back again. I think I found a niche that has about 3,000 to 5,000 people in it. Do you think this is too small?

I am confused on whom to prospect in the dental space. The dentist? Or the dental clinic manager/officials? It’s hard to find them.
