How Matt Built a $17k/m SEO Agency While in College

For episode 17, I’ve brought on a longtime member of the community, Matt Van Dyck. Matt’s been building sites for fun since he was 15, and went from freelancing on Fiverr, to closing $1,000+ per month clients on SEO services.

In this episode we cover:

  • The big shift Matt had to take him from 4-5k/m and working 8-12 hours per day, to 17k/m and having more free time than ever
  • The 2 biggest mistakes Matt has made with his agency
  • A step by step walkthrough of lumpy mail client acquisition
  • The only thing you should focus on if you want to scale your agency

Any questions for Matt? He’ll answer the first 5 in the comments below.

P.S. Just want to say, although it should be obvious, I didn’t ask Matt to mention or talk about any of my trainings.

Cheers Carlos. Only took me 17 interviews lol, but I’ve been working on it 🙂

    Great interview.

Such a focused and intelligent guy.

He mentioned that he doesn’t create PBNs anymore, and that he outsources that. I am not familiar with such services. Is there any website or FB group where I can look for this kind of service?

    Thank you!

Do you have any specific recommendations or even places to start? I’ve been in the LZ marketplace for a while and still haven’t found any I really trust that much. I remember you saying in another podcast you want to keep the edge and wouldn’t reveal some of the places you get domains/links but a person or 2 who you’ve heard are good would be appreciated 🙂

        Good stuff as always.

    Aloha,
It seems like there’s an problem with the podcast on iTunes.
It just won’t start to play and it only shows a few kb of filesize.

Just a quick heads up – going to start listening via this site then.

I really enjoy those interviews, thanks!

Hey Dani, thanks for letting me know. I just tested it and it’s okay on my end, let me know if it’s still not working for you.
